With the very rapid development of computer science technology, traditional network architecture has been unable to meet the practical application requirements for flexible network management and control in cloud computing, data centers and other fields. Software-defined network (SDN) architecture has been regarded as one of the effective solutions, and has become a research hotspots in recent years. SDN divides the data layer and the control layer. Although it provides a way of the network management simplification, it also faces more diverse security challenges, especially at the management layer, control layer and data layer, as well as other open interfaces. In this paper, based on detailed literature research and analysis, we present a all-rounded inteoduction of the research work on SDN security protection. Specifically, we first introduce the architecture model of SDN, and then discuss the two possible ways to overcome the security problems, mainly including solutions to security threats on various layers/interfaces of SDN. Finally, we provide a prediction on future research trends about SDN security.
