Software Defined Networking (SDN) has emerged as a new networking approach for future agile network architecture. SDN offers a lot of new features and solves a number of hard problems of traditional network. In many aspects, SDN has the ability to transform the networking industry. This paper discusses about SDN architecture, ongoing research work in the field of SDN Security and examines potential security vulnerabilities, attack vectors and flaws in software defined networks which need to be addressed.
