초록

A Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a wireless communication network that enables vehicles to communicate with one another and with infrastructure in their vicinity. VANETs use dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) technology to facilitate communication among vehicles and between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. The primary objective of VANETs is to provide drivers and authorities with relevant data to improve road safety and traffic efficiency. The high volume of traffic on roads today poses a major challenge to road safety and efficiency. Every year, millions of individuals lose their lives globally as a result of road accidents. It is imperative to explore methods to prevent these accidents and guarantee the safety of travelers. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have emerged as a promising technology that enables communication between vehicles and between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. They have the capability to contribute to the development of an Intelligent Transportation System that prioritizes road safety, enhances traffic efficiency, and promotes the well-being of travelers. Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks rely on Inter-Vehicle Communication to furnish drivers and authorities with pertinent data, enhancing road safety. This work presents brief of VANET its applications and challenges. It aims to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of different routing protocols in VANETs and their potential to improve road safety and traffic efficiency.
