Counter Attack Malware Application Using Automatic Reverse Engineering Web Application

Cybersecurity is a crucial aspect in the digital age. Nowadays, many attacks target people. One of the most commonly used attack is social engineering. Individuals not well-versed in technology are often the primary targets because they are not familiar with the various tactics employed by attackers. This paper proposes an easy-to-use tool that can be utilized by everyone to counter social engineering attacks through malware APK files that are commonly sent to victims via messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. Subsequently, the victim employs a web tool capable of scanning and reverse-engineering the malware APK. This tool can then extract usernames and bots used by the attacker. Python, VirusTotal API, Regular Expression and Waterfall SDLC method are the main core of this application development process. Finally, the tool is capable of spamming the attacker multiple times, thus serving as a counter-attack mechanism.
