Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Surveillance using Multiple Inter-symbol Obfuscation scheme

초록

The popularity of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is increasing day by day which enhances accessibility for civilian and military applications. Due to this the chances for exploitation becomes evident, these UAVs might be potentially used for criminals and terrorism activities like Enemy surveillance, bomb blast etc. The main motive of this paper is to design and develop a complete surveillance system which can be mounted on a domestic UAV in order to act against the dreadful enemy UAV. The legitimate UAV is able to track the movement of enemy ones with this system. In addition, MIO scheme is used for interrupt the enemy UAV communication links and sending messages to friendly drones. The proposed MIO (multiple inter-symbol obfuscation) scheme which utilizes a set of artificial noisy symbols (symbol key) to obfuscate the original data symbol. On the other hand, a legitimate receiver a friendly UAV can easily check the integrity of the symbol key and then reject the fake packets from the received packets. From the security point of view, without considering the initial key, this MIO scheme can achieve information-theoretic secrecy against the passive eavesdropping attack and computational secrecy against the fake packet injection attack. Moreover, the jamming strategy developed for track the suspicious UAV flight by utilizing parameters like angle of arrival and received signal strength of suspicious UAV signal.
